The rental contract and house rules come pre-filled with your names and dates; you sign them online in a few minutes.
Pay in full to book — or 50% to secure your dates, with the balance due no later than one month before arrival.
Proof that your insurance covers you for the stay — in France this is the attestation de villégiature, issued by your home insurer in a few clicks — plus the security deposit, and the house is ready for you.
Our cancellation policy is simple: if the balance is still unpaid and your arrival is more than a month away, your first payment is refunded in full — no fees, no questions asked. Within the last month before arrival we keep it, as the house is hard to re-book at such short notice.
The cupboards won't be bare: oil, vinegar, seasonings and enough to get you started, so there's no dash to the shops on your first evening.
The security deposit comes back to you a few days after you leave, once we've had a look around the house. Guests in France usually leave a cheque, which we never cash: we destroy it — with photos to prove it — or post it back to you. Other arrangements are possible for guests coming from abroad — just ask.
No deep cleaning before you go: just leave the house tidy and reasonably clean — nothing more is expected. A small €100 cleaning deposit covers exceptional cases only.
Travel cot, high chair and changing table on request — and two safety gates for the stairs, top and bottom, fitted before you arrive if you wish.
